The 1999 Mercury Mystique offers solid performance. The two-liter, four-cylinder engine seems mediocre but works well enough for day-to-day driving. The 2.5-liter, six-cylinder engine gives the Mystique good acceleration. The Mystique, regardless of the engine, makes for an agile vehicle that turns well.
