The RS5000 is a great replacement for an OEM shock. It is a twin tube, oil filled shock with heavy duty valving that is sure to be one of the more durable aftermarket parts you have ever purchased. The durability lasts for function as well as looks. The 5000 series has a finish on the exterior that is designed to withstand just under 250 hours of salt spray testing. The rest is kept safe by a signature protective red shock boot. So whether you are climbing cliffs with a lifted vehicle, or just need some new shocks on your transportation truck, the RS5000 rancho shock is a great choice for you.
5. Double-wall construction: Provides greater off-road protection against rocks, stone spray, logs etc. Unlike mono-tube shocks (Bilstein, De Carbon, some Pro-Comp shocks, etc.) the pistons of the RS5000 and RS9000X shocks do not run in the outer tube. This ensures that the Rancho shocks will be unlikely to fail if the outer tube is dented.
Rancho appeals to Ford, Chevy/GMC, Dodge, Hummer, Jeep, Toyota, and Nissan drivers who want to upgrade to suspension that can encompass highway driving to off-roading. The Rancho line will have many products to help with driver who want to accomplish this. From the RS5000 that started it all, to the RS9000xl, which is like 9 shock absorbers in one. We are also selling Rancho's award winning wireless device, the MyRide, which is compatible with the entire line of XLs, to the Quicklift shocks which allows for quick adjustability. Along with Rancho shock absorbers there will also be steering stabilizers available which are a simpler and affordable way of enhancing your vehicles handling.
Great shock at any price but this price even better. I put the Rancho RS shocks in my last truck and now in this truck. I have them all around including steering stabilizer. They handle great on a paved road and also on the beach (4x4).
